A couple of days ago I Sara resident of Laredo, TX realized that my phone bills had drastically increased since Feb. 2006 up to now. I had noticed since my first high bill, but since I have family right across the border in mexico and I talk to them alot I tought that maybe it was, because we had talked to much. Eventough in the back of my mind I knew I had the AT&T international calling plan, which I was very happy with and therefore suspected from my high telephone bills. I waited to see if maybe it was because we overused the phone or something, but the bills only got higher and higher.

Then I decided to call this USBI company which took like two hours just to speak to a damn representative. The USBI bill came included in my AT&T bill and before calling USBI I called and explained the situaiton. At AT&T they told me about this type of company which offers you a type of fake promotion saying they are representatives of AT&T. Well any how I called this USBI company and tried to get an explanation on why they had changed my long distance plan. They explained that my son had supposedly authorized for this change, I immediatly tought how can this be possible when I am the only one authorized to make changes in my phone plan.

They affirmed that my son had made the authorization and they even played a recording in which my son's voice was saying he was over 18 and were he is accepting the change. I was shocked at what I was hearing and told the company off and told them I never wanted to do anything with them again. I was angry as hell at my son, so i waited until he got home from work and I confronted him about the situation. My son denied having ever authorized any of the changes realized and I believed him because he is a very smart young man and he knows better.

Any ways my son explained to me how he remembered getting a call from an AT&T representative supposedly stating that in appreciation to the years of service they were going to reward us with a 100 dlls. Free long distance calling card. They stated that in order to claim the card the person had to affirm that he or she was atleast 18 years or older and agree to receiving this free calling card by mail. My son agreed and we never recieved any calling card, but what we did receive was a great increase in our phone bill with statments showing many phone calls to the United Kingdom.

This USBI company is a fradualent company, which manipulated my sons recording to make it seem like he agreed to the change in my long distance plan instead of the free calling card. This is a very disgusting and low class act on behalf of that stupid company who was literarly stealing from me every month. I plan to sue this company for what its worth and I think everybody who has gotten robbed by it should do the same thing. As for the rest of the people who haven't I suggest you becareful about the things you and/or your family accept and who they accept it from because they could make it seem like you are accepting something and then they will recod over it saying you accepted something else. If anyone has any comments or questions feel free to write me to my e-mail:
