Mainstreet, USBI ripoff

The name of the company is Mainstreet. They use a billing company names USBI. I received charges on my local phone bill for long distance services from USBI. I do not have any long distance service at all. I never have signed up for long distance service. Even if someone else illegally signed me up, I never have received the service that I have been charged two months for.

When I called USBI, they told me I would have to contact Mainstreet directly even though they (USBI) is the billing company. I called Mainstreet and made the above complaint. They told me the reason why I had not received long distance on my phone, is because it is a calling card company. They told me I had signed up for calling cards and free movie tickets. Even if someone had signed me up, I STILL have never received calling cards or movie tickets. It is absolutely ridiculous that calling cards and movie passes can be charge to my phone bill. I told them I wanted my service terminated and a credit for the charges as I had never agreed to the service.

The Mainstreet representitive agreed to do so. I am pleased that it was resolved in a timely manner. However, I feel that there is something dishonest going on because I never signed up, and if it was an honest mistake, I would have received some type of service or product for my charges. The charges are so moderate that I wouldn't have even checked into it if my local provider hadn't mentioned it. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
