Lydia Long distance charges after request to disconnect unsolicitted service

July 16: Talked to Glen from Qwest to have USBI, and authorized them to have USBI removed from all further charges. He said I needed to talk with a representative which I did (did not get his name; the USBI informed me all charges would not be there any more.in August, no USBI long distance charges showed up.in my Qwest October statemet I had a credit of $22.94 from Qwest. Naturally, I assumed the USBI was completely blocked and would receive no more statements with USBI as my long distance carrier. WRONG!!!

In November, I received a notice from Consumer Telcom, Inc. Requesting the sum of $22.94 which Qwest had given me credit. I immediatly called USBI number and talked to Lydia and told her about talking to one of their employees giving him authorization to cancel USBI from any further charges on July 16th. She informed me there was nothing to confirm this as I did not get the name of the person I talked to and there was nothing in the file to substantiate my call.

She also informed me they tape all calls coming in and out including their call which they said I talked to one of their representatives giving permission to use their services for long distance calls. She played the tape; however, I do not believe for one minute I authorized their service. The tape does NOT sound like me, the answers I gave sounded like some else.

My November statement which I received the other day shows another charge of $9.43. Nothing said about calls canceling USBI, etc. I want these people off my Qwest bill. I paid the $9.43 direct to USBI as Consumer Telecom, Inc. Is USBI.
