Clearinghouse Sweepstakes ripoff

I received an envelope containing vouchers for $310.00 off anything in the mailing. There was a countertop dishwasher that was listed at $369.95. I thought that it was a cool idea for just me and my son. I filled out the order form and the total was going to be 59.95. I gave them my visa information allowing them to charge my visa for what I thought the total was going to be $59.95.

When it showed up on my visa that they charged me $200.94 I was astonished. I called them right away. They told me that the item was not supposed to have a $310.00 voucher it was only $210.00 sent out with that item. Well the ones I got were $310.00 and thats what I mailed to them with my order form. The difference of $40 something was for shipping that I was not aware of from the way they worded it in their mailing. It was in tiny print of course at the bottom I did finally find it after arguing with who they told me was the supervisor that I asked to speak with when I was getting nowhere with the first person I talked to.

I told them that I did not want this half size dishwasher when I could buy a full size one for the same price. I was informed that I would be reimbursed as soon as they received the item back, that it had already been shipped. I was supposed to refuse delivery. I have still not gotten the dishwasher to send it back to them. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting. I am going to call them again today to try to find out what is going on but I'm sure its going to be just a waste of my time.

I feel that they are ripping off people everyday and they need to be stopped.
