Best Deals 2U Best Deals 2U, Simple Escapes ripoff - promised free merchandise - charged 149.95 and 19.95

In December, I was offered a "free" gift card, if I signed up for 3 offers from three companies for $1. That was wrong - I got tired of all the pop-ups and filling out forms, so I just clicked the sceens off. On Jan 4th I checked my credit card for unbilled activity, and found two charges on it, that I didn't even authorize or recieve a statement stating I was chagrged.

So, I started some checking, and according to my credit card company, the above site Best deals 2U is listed as a computer network/information services, electronic bulletin board, e-mail, website hosting services and internet access. The only thing I use my computer for is e-mail and catalog ordering.

I tried calling these numbers, which were listed on my credit card bill, 877-836-6903, and 702-419-2100, and all I got was an automated system, with prompts, and in order to speak with them I was put on hold. So I got tired of waiting, and during the message they also gave another web address to contact: dealpass.com, and there you send an e-mail to them. So I sent them a notice stating I want my money back, I want to be contacted, and I don't want whatever it is there offering or selling.

Also during my attempt to contact them, I learned that simple escapes is a "sister" company to bestdeals2u. So I was charged by both companies, for what, I'm not even sure. I was charged 149.95, and 19.95, and I don't even know what the charges were for.

Now I'm waiting for a response. I hope no one else gets ripped-off from these people.
