Ripoff by continued billing after you close account And Will Not Credit Overcharges

After trying a free complimentary month with PeoplePC.com I decided to stay with PeoplePC.com and close my account with Netzero.com because they had faster connections and fewer instanceds of being knocked offline as a dialup provider. I'm not the type of person to pay for services I do not use so I called and cancelled my account on or about March 1st of 2005. It was my fault for just taking my credit card bills and paying them without verifying all charges but I just did so and found Netzero had been charging me for 10 months of use that I have not been using or authorizing them to charge me for.

After trying to resolve this with them as an adult they claimed I had closed my account on July 5 months after I actually called to cancel and I asked them if you show me closing in July why did you continue to bill me. There was no reply. The lady on the phone asked if I would like an additional cancellation confirmation number even though she could not refund any of my money billed for a closed account and I replied thanks for nothing, I don't need a confirmation number for something that has already been done.

I called my credit card company and filed a dispute for unauthorized charges. My advice is to never do business with a company that won't correct and stand by their mistakes such as Netzero. I even asked would they refund from the dates they showed my cancellation and they refused. Do Not do business with this company and if you do watch your credit card statement like a hawk.
