RIPOFF Used deception to attempt to make a sale

I spoke with three men in India. They claimed that they were from this company in Utah, but the last one admitted that the address was fake. I don't know how much of what he told me is true:

His name is Harry. He works for a company in California and was instructed to keep everything very confidential. He lives in India and makes $2/day. I told him that telemarketers in America make $30/day easily and he asked, desperately, how he could come to America.

You wonder why people get scammed, but you don't wonder why telemarketers in India make 1/15th of what they make in America. Some people get angry that certain jobs like software programming and telemarketing are leaving the USA. But guess what? I got to talk to a guy in India about his condition for 1/2 hour on the dime of a company that doesn't give a damn about ripping people off.

He said he's interested in selling his house and his land in order to come here. He owns a house and some land in India and he makes $2/day. Certainly there's a cost of living issue. Now here's some other good info: He can get Internet access for about fifty cents per hour. He can rent a computer for $2/day - as much as he makes. Here, you can rent a computer for about $2/day - one fifteenth of what the typical telemarketer makes. I suggested he get together with his friends and start writing, because there's a good chance that they can come up with stuff to sell for $5 or $10 on the Internet - because it has worldwide reach.

Ok, my point here is that if you happen to get a call from someone with an Indian accent, give them a chance to think they may have hooked you, and then use the company's dime to learn about conditions in India first hand from someone that lives and works there.
