I received several phone calls from an unknown number. When I finally decided to answer the call I spoke to a lady with an island accent that told me I was gauranteed to receive a government grant of a minimum of $6000. She explained that there would be a processing fee of $298 that they could debit from my checking account on my desired date.in the meanwhile they would be sending me paperwork to sign for processing of this government grant. A little skeptic I asked to speak to her Supervisor because she was asking for my personal information here. The Supervisor explained it in a very logical way. She referred me to advertisement about the government having grant money that citizens like myself are owed but if we don't apply or process the necessary paperwork we never receive the money. She said their company is in the business of processing this paperwork for us and letting us know that the money is there and getting it for us for a small fee. Made sense at the time so I give the lady my account information. All this is being recorded which made me feel compfortable. Waiting for my paperwork in the mail and it never came. Luckily this is before my debit date to my checking account. I call the company they are unable to pull my "i.D. Number" or my "phone number" to look up my info. I gave that lady a piece of my mind and told her that if they take my money out of my account they are in big trouble. I just automatically knew this was a scam and immediately called my bank to put an alert on my checking account, so this company, GSI, could not get to my funds. Still infuriated that this company or people have the audasity to call my phone and scam me like that and I am a struggling, low income, single mom, I am not going to let this company get away with this, fellow people be on high alert, this company is a scam!
