Government Grant Processing Center Ripoff Middle Eastern Voice Telemarketing offered me $30,000 in federal grant money if I gave them checking account number and paid them $250

Telemarketer with a middle eastern accent called to offer me a free federal freedom grant of $30,000 that I didnt have to pay back.

I asked what company they were calling from and they said the federal government. I asked from where, they said St. Petersburg, Florida.

I asked where they got my information and they told me a special database and this offer was only available to a few? Yeah right!

I asked if they would send me information on how to apply. They said they would do everything over the phone then give me an access number and the money would just automatically be transfered into my checking or savings account.

I told them I know the fed. Gov. Wouldnt just give money away without a lot of paperwork and applications and they said that would all be sent to me after I was given the access number.

I then asked what I needed to do to get the access number and they said they needed to verify my account numbers to transfer the money and there would be a one time fee of $249.00.

I insisted this must be a scam, cuz I shouldnt have to pay money to get something that is supposedly free. They argued with me that I must just not understand what it is they are offering me because this is a $30,000 grant that is free, they were very persistent.

Finally, I asked for a Web Site and they gave me a false site and told me they would call back after I had a chance to review the site. They never called back!
