Ripoff, fraud, Identity theft, false impersonation of goverment official

On friday october7 I received a phone call from a lady by the name of Shantel Gemes ID 007963. She told me I had been awarded a grant from the goverment in the sum of 12,500.00. She ask me if I wanted the grant money in one lump sum or three payments.

I opted for the three payments. She then said she needed my bank information so she could set up a direct deposit into my account. I gave her the information. She then said the money would be deposited into my account on 10-11-05, It would not be available until 10-24-05.

I have been applying for grants for college the last few weeks and assumed it was in regards to that. I asked alot of good questions to Shantel and I think the goverment needs to stop these people from robbing families using their name. I had to close my account and open another one. They took 49.95 out of my account and want to still another 300.00.
