Ripoff, promise 3 day tryout, but cannot logon, Emails not answered

I was trying to sign up for a 3 day trial of "Shop and Get Paid" (9/7/05), The website kept returning a message that there was a problem with my credit card. I wasn't too concerned, I just forgot about it, I knew my Credit card was fine.

The following day I saw an Email from Shop and get paid for my order and was billed $1.49 for the 3 day trial. Since I had already lost a day on the 3 day trial, I immediatly sent an Email to to Customer service Email address wanting to cancel. Never received a reply. I sent a second Email several hours later and never received a reply.

On 9/9 I started in the early morning calling the 1-800 customer service #. Each time (of 10 calls) I received a recording stating that "all CS representatives are busy please hold your call will be answered in the order received". Each time after 10 minutes on hold, a second recording in a different voice would come on and say "Our office is currently closed, please call back during normal business hours".

Also when I attempted to go to the website to look for this "database", all I could get to was the initial sign up screen. There was no link to take you to this database of companies wanting mystery shoppers.

I was calling between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM on a weekday (Fri). What do they consider "normal business hours?"

Yesterday, my card was billed for $197.00 through some billing agent. When I phoned the 1-800 number on the charge I was told they are just billing agents for several companies and provided me with a second 1-800# to call, and the $197.00 was for some "Grants" service, however the 1-800 they provided is the same number from Shop and get paid.

My attempts to call today (Mon) have had the same results as Fri, put on hold, then after 10 minutes a second recording stating the office is closed.

A definite scam, nowhere on the sign up page did it even mention $197.00, otherwise I would never have even tried it. There is apparently, no data base.

I'm livid and will pursue this to the end!
