The Miles Motel
Rude and rip off

We stayed at the Miles Motel in Mesa Arizona for a few days and found the room in itself to be very dirty, dusty and boards on the floor from workmen cleanign the place previous to our entering. Pipes burst in the bathroom on our second day there which I was awakened for early int he morning with a very rude receptionist fromt he front desk asking me why I never turned off the water, when i did. Workmen re-doing the bathroom the entire day, no apologies for interuptions. No apologies for the way the room looked.

Rude receptionist calling us the next day saying they won't give us a toilet plunger for our now stopped up toilet unless we pay a $50 phone bill which was mostly from the individuals who stayed in the room PRIOR to our stay.

Then upon me leaving my fiance stayed there a remaining 3-4 days and being he wasn't paid his paycheck until thursday was locked out of the room, with all his belongings inside after coming to an agreement with same above said receptionist about payment. His belongings were not given to him until the Thursday of the NEXT week, and he was charged yet another fee for the room which he was not staying in due to the locking of the doorway.

We found this to be very rude, very demeaning and extraordinarily unorthodox behavior for anyone staying in a motel/hotel.

I am lodging this complaint because I am very upset that we were not offered another room to stay in during the clean up and repair phases of our stay there, or a discount. I am also lodging this complaint due to the very rude behavior of the receptionist at the front desk (who I believe is the only front desk receptionsit - lady with a Slavik accent).

Thank you I recommend peopel do NOT stay at this hotel unless they like rude people and being forced to sleep outside due to locking of motel doors.
