Ripoff

I was called at work and informed that I am a preferred customer of Mastercard. Since my excellent credit credit with history with Mastercard, I am entitled to a very discounted magazine purchase price. First a CSR asked set up an account using my birthday as access. So I provided my birthday. Then I was transferred to s field Supervisor named RICK.

After Rick then asked if I can verify my Mastercard number and expiration date. Since they somehow has the last 4 digits of my card; I was possitive that this is a legit company in association with Mastercard. After all the information gets exchanged. Rick explained to me that this is a 60 months obligation of $16.58 per month for 60 months. It includes all charges for 7 magazines that I will be received monthly.

I performed a quick calculation and relized that I have to spend approximately $990. I immediately told Rick that I am not interested and to be honest. I don't want 7 more magazines per month on top of all the subscribed ones I am currently received. Rick was extremely RUDE and start raising his voice on the phone indicating that I have wasted his time. Since I was called at work. I set the phone on speaker so that my co-worker can hear the conversation. Some of the statement includes profanity. Finally, I told him that I am not interested and I would like to cancel the whole order. Rick the slams the phone and hang up on me. After explaining the situation with my director, I called my Credit Card company to block any possible charges; I was informed the CRC Magazine has charged a total of $66.32 (a 4 months increment). I have to cancel my card and work with the Fraud department to dispute this amount. I am truly UNHAPPY with the fact the such company has my work phone number and the last 4 number of my Mastercard.
