Not taking items off the registry

I've benn buying at walmart for decades now and invest atleast 50$ daily there. I thought it'd be nice to get my wedding registry there. Nicely i suppose i believed wrong to date i've 32 people attending my shower each person has explained that once they buy a product they provide it towards the cashier to take off the registy. Each item remains around the registry meaning iam going to have to create back a lot of material. I believe when you provide the service you need to atleast have people who understand what the hell they're doing. This really is crazy and my bath will be so uncomfortable after i keep having the same product. I'll let you know imagine if my bath is destroyed that'll be the last moment i actually store there again and a lot of people who i understand mentioned the same.
