Charged me $155 for accomplishing absolutely nothing

On July 7, I contacted Aspinwall Heat Pump Services because my air conditioner had not been working for 2 weeks. My condo maintenance man had been unable to fix it and at 90 years old, I was afraid I might get heat stroke.
Will spent an hour working on the machine, installed a new filter, said the problem was with the thermostat and clogged ducts. I wrote a check for $155 for Aspinwall.
When the temperature in my unit continued to be close to 80 degrees, my son called Reardon Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. The mechanic checked the water drain and found it was plugged. He replaced the sludge with fresh water. Then he checked the freon level and found it was low. He corrected this situation and replace missing O rings. Cool air began coming out of the ducts and the machine has worked well ever since. The charge was $205, which I was happy to pay.
I am not happy about the $155 paid to Aspinwall. I would not want to harm Will, who may have been new to a job he doubtless needs, like any other working man, but who hasn't yet learned to check for clogged drains and low levels of freon. I think Aspinwall should refund at least a portion of my payment. Again, I absolutely would not want them to penalize the technician. I am not seeking "revenge."
