Sears Master Air Conditioner Policy is a Joke - sears

We have a Sears Master Air Conitioner Contract since 1996. On June 2, we called for service on our central air and they said parts have to be replace. After the parts were replaced, the unit still did not function and Sears said that, as per the contract the unit had to be replaced. Over the next two weeks we were on the phone 8 hours a day trying toi finalize this replacement. Finally on July 3 we received a call from our "case worker" who said the replacement was approved. A week later they sent the air condititikoner tech to measure and see what had to be done. Since the new unit was bigger than the original he suggested making the air intake bigger so as to have access to our attic. The case worker called a day or two later and told us the additional costs that were necessary to make this larger access and also to pay for two smaller items that would bring the new installation up to the new township code. We gave our credit card to pay and waited. This was July 6th. On July 12th, Sears sent a carpenter to our house to measure for the new access. The man measured and told us that there was no problem. Today, July 13th, after waiting for the Sears men to arrive, which they did not, we called and left a message. A while later, we received a call from Sears saying that they would not do the replacement and that we had to get our own person to make the access larger. So from June 2nd until today, July 13th, we have been without air conditioning ands been ignored, lied to, hung up on and totally disregarded. Their attitue has been absolutely indifferent to our needs. Anyone doing business with this company ought to reconsider. They are the absolute worst.
