In I attempted to get my mortgage modified through Bank of America and NACA. Although, it was denied, Bank of America placed my mortgage as 60 days in arrears in the credit bureaus. Although I supplied documentation that this was incorrect, the Attorney General's office had to assist me in correcting it.in the interim, Home Depot closed my account. When I called, the representative Stephanie said, "Well, to be honest, when we see that the mortgage is behind, we figure that the credit cards will quickly follow, so your privileges were terminated." Although I informed her that my mortgage was not behind and it was a mistake the company declined to re-open my account. This is despite offering to provide documentation. I also contacted the Attorney General'soffice, however, B. Carraway's response, representative from Home Depot, alleged that during a Citibank update, I no longer met the requirement to keep my credit card, despite the fact that I have had it since 21 years of age. I was 45 when they closed it. Although it has been 2 years, the unfairness and reluctance to review the accuracy of why my account was closed is still problematic to me. Thank you for listening.
