Al Austin From dream renovation to nightmare that does not end!

Signed a contract for a 3 month renovation job. Was assured by Al that the job was would be completed on time. It is now 9 months and still not done-not even close. He did not start the job when I gave him his deposit and demolition payment. He made endless excuses... Weather (we had the mildest winter in history), subcontractor issues, etc. He finally started the job just about the time was supposed to be finished.

He is very good at getting you to keep paying him even when the work you are paying him for is not completed. He never produced the permits/approvals to this day even after asking him over and over. He just does not show up for days at a time, and he makes changes to the contracted work with out consulting you when ever it he finds ways to cut cost for himself, all the time complaining that he normally does not take such small jobs and only works on million dollar jobs. THEN WHY DID HE TAKE THE JOB AND MY MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! He takes advantage of peoples desperation. You get stuck with him because he has sucked so much money out of you you dont know what to do.

Stay away and find another contractor.
