Gave estimate of 500 and no explaination of fees and got a HUGE bill

Had water damge to whole finished basement. Placed 7 fans and 1 dehumidifier for 2 1/2 days charge for 3 full days and charged for each time they came to check on basement was told by service men who came out they would only collect 500 of our 1000 deductible bc thats how much roughly the equipment and time should cost. Got a bill for 1457.53 and was told that oh well your insurance will pay that and they aren't permitted to give quotes. And also was supposed to get a carpet cleaning for $99 took 4 phone calls (didn't have bill for water damage yet other wise we wouldnt have used them) and then when we got the bill for that it was over $200. And the price of $99 was for US Steel workers but their servicemen who came to pick up equipment failed to mention that. Very poor company very poor pricing information.in fact you get NO pricing information so they can bill your insurance company for whatever they want. Also, i feel they took advantage of us we had just moved in that day to our new house when our hot water tank exploded and I was very pregnant at that time. Very poor company. Would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
