Rip off-incomplete work-charged for work never done-changed name of business

This guy is a total rip off artist. He had over 3 years to finish work that should have taken him 3 mos tops! He had us write the checks directly to him claiming he had a wrongful lien out on his business and we believed him (Yea, dumb, dumb, dumb!).

We originally contracted for replacement of 2 showers at our other home @ 160 miles away from our primary residence. We extended our relationship with him to include painting (which was done sloppily and only @ 20% finished), replacement and redirect of the sump pump (finished), work on the kitchen (not even started except to replace 1 light), and electrical work in the basement that was not done correctly.
He kept asking for more and more money (for materials, to hire subcontractors, etc, replacement and redirect of the sump pump and work on the kitchen.) He told us that some of the supplies he got at Home Depot on clearance and others were left over materials from other jobs so we got them at a discount. The only things he ever finished was one shower (tho he trashed the toilet and sink in that bathroom) and the sump pump work. He never hired anyone else to work, never finished 90% of the job and had the nerve after getting @$14000- $17000 from us, to claim that he only received $8900 and put an $8000 lien on the house which he collected at sale so in all he got @ between $21000 and $24000. We won a case against him and were awarded $10,400 but will probably never collect as he has dissolved the business and is probably working under the table as we found out he was when he was working for us.

Stay FAR away from this JERK!!!
