Dean Current Current Technologies = Unethical, dishonest company... Beware

Think twice before doing business with this dishonest company. Make sure to get several quotes as they will grossly overcharge you.

This company told me that a very expensive sump pump was needed for my basement. As my basement was flooding due to my current pump malfunctioning and it was an emergency situation, the repair needed done immediately so I told them to go ahead and replace it at that time. The plumber installed a new pump and check valve in about 15 minutes and charged me $1200.00. The company refused to break out the cost of the pump and labor, only telling me it was a Rigid 1/3 hp pump with a three year warranty.

1 The company still refuses to give me the model number of the pump installed in my home as it would prove they installed a much cheaper pump than they charged for. I later found our that Rigid 1/3 hp pumps are $159 RETAIL at Home Depot.

2 The company refuses to give me the product information and warranty booklet for this pump. Rigid sump pumps have a LIFETIME warranty (not 3 years as the plumber verbally told me) BUT you have to perform certain maintenance and install certain approved parts or the warranty is null and void. As the homeowner I need the product/warranty information.

3 I consulted a reputable plumbing company the next day and was told my basement needed at MINIMUM a hp sump pump. A hp sump pump maximum cost is $259 retail. The quote I have since received to install a sump pump was $525.00

This plumber took advantage of a single woman and installed a very cheap product at an extremely inflated charge.
