Wood shelf price $6.48 but register charged $7.97

I went in to buy wood. The price was $6.48 on the shelf, but at the register it came up as $7.97. When I informed the cashier of the discrepancy, she said, while shrugging her shoulders, "You can cancel it," and at no point did she offer to look into the correct advertised price. Rather than help me, she asked that I cancel the transaction because it was "messing up her stats."

I had to escalate the matter to a store manager and was informed 20 minutes later that they would correct the matter. But due to the time and the injury I sustained at this store, I choose not to do business with them at this time!
