Policy cancelled over chimney, then for lacking auto insurance

The following is an email I sent to Allstate, and I have not heard back.

I am a current customer and soon will be a former customer. I received a letter stating that my policy will be cancelled due to chimney damage. I contacted my agent, Larry Jackson, and he stated that if the chimney gets repaired, my policy will not be cancelled. I spent $2,000.00 to get the chimney repaired and sent the completion documents to my agent. I then received a call stating that I will not be renewed because I do not have auto insurance with Allstate. That was never stated to me at any time!

This is not the first time that Allstate has tried to strong-arm me into additional services. Two years ago, I received a similar letter stating that my policy would be cancelled because there was no proof that I lived in the house. I had to provide monthly bills and other documents, just to find out from my agent that, since I did not have auto insurance, Allstate was going to cancel.

I guess I am not in good hands with Allstate unless I purchase additional services. You need to change your commercials so that people know that unless you have every service we offer, your good hands will open up and let you fall.
