Chris Valerio Took my money and did no work [SCAM]

I hired Chris Valerio to repair my flat roof. He said he could do it and would be able to start in about a week. He then called me on July 1 [the Friday before the 4th of July holiday weekend] saying that he could do the repairs over the long weekend and needed a check for $1800 in order to purchase supplies. I provided him with a check and he cashed it the same day. As of today [10/26] he has not stepped back onto the property to begin the repairs. I have called him over 30 times and left countless voicemails, but I have never received a response. He stole my money and is a con artist. I am not even sure he is a roofer. Stay away from this guy!!!
