We hired Daniel A. McCord Dec. 17th. 2010. To build a Log home shell. The total cost was going to be $137,000.00. We gave Dan the 1st. Draw of the contract which was $67,000.00 12/17/10. Our basement went in on April 15th. 2011.By a good company. Dan did NOT show up until April 26th. He then asked me to give HIM the check for the basement. The basement company did bill him, So I wrote Dan A check for $8,842.25. (Later we would learn that Daniel A., McCord did Not pay for our basement). That same day Dan also told me that his MOTHER Kathern L. McCord was in, a Phila. Hosp. Dan told us that he needed to be at his mothers side 24/7. We felt bad for Dan. So Dan could not build our house the rest of April, by May we asked him again if we could start our home, SAME Story Mother dying. Dan also said that he was to upset to build our home. We then demaned a date for or logs fo be delivered. That came and went. June 2nd. Dan informed us that his MOTHER had died. Dan held her hand & everything. Her funeral was JUNE 6th. Dan then told us that he would start or home ASAP!!! DIDNT HAPPEN. After the funeral Dan had to clean out his MOTHERS home & Dan was going to THERAPY EVERY DAY!!! We HIRED A LAWYER..in TOTAL DAN PROMISED US 7 TIMES THAT OUR LOGS WERE GOING TO BE DELIVERED. DAN did build a subfloor which did not pass code inspection. I fired daniel a. Mccord july 7th. 2011. I have to tell you it felt good. We know Dan was lying to us but we didnt know what to do. We paid Dan a total of $75,842.25 an all we had was a basement and a bad subfloor. The basement wasnt paid. DAN KEPT THAT MONEY TO!!! I got on line and wrote a review. I kept looking to see if anyone else wrote anything. I did see 2 people post bad things. I posted my story an put my phone number in it. I was contacted by a couple of people. Our stories were pretty much the same. Except instead of mother dying it was grandfather, uncle, friend. Yeah!!! Dans mother is alive. Dan lied to us the whole time. DAN STRUNG US ALONG FOR MONTHS!!! ALL HIS EXCUSES; accident, friend die, back injury, lime, EVEYTHING WAS A LIE! Dan has scammed alot of us. We have filed criminal charges against Dan. Dan needs to be stopped! Dan has been getting away with this behavior for to long. If anyone has been ripped off by Daniel A. McCord PLEASE CONTACT, The Attorney General Office. Mr. Bittner Is handling most of his cases. Also contact the B.B.B.

Dont let him get away with it any more!
