Robert Beeton I paid cash up front, he took my money and ran!

In November I engaged the services of a local builder to lay a block paving drive and patio. We agreed a price and the work commenced in December. I work at sea in teh merchant navy so I had to leave home in mid January to return to work. The drive was unfinnished so to avouid delays in payment I paid the full amount requested before I left. The builder garanteed he would complete the work by the end of January however when my family visited my house in February they reported no further work had been done.

I retunred home in May and contacted the builder, he appologised and said he would complete the work shortly. He never did. I have written to him and engaged the services of a solicitor, he has been given a date to resume work but has not responded. To get the work completed by someone else will cost approx 10000, I have contacted several assocoations with this complaint but no one seems interested.
