I purchased a furniture protection plan when I purchased my sectional couch due to having two little kids at home. With kids having reoccuring accidents, i thought this would be an ideal purchase. After an accident spill or an accidental bodily fluid from kids had happened, i report the incident to guardsman services within 5 day... Per the companies policy.
The request process is very cumbersome. They mail the service request form (they dont have a website where you can electronically submit the request) The form is super detailed asking for all sorts of information. The form gets mailed back to them. I get a call a week after i mailed it.in a nutshell it takes at least 2 1/2 weeks before they can even schedule a technician to come out. From there it takes another week for the technician to arrive. So all in all it takes a month for them to tend to the stain. But they are adamant to report the incident within 5 days. Which is pointless, because by the time they get to it... Its been weeks since the incident occured!
Their policies and procedures, which are not clearly explained to you at time of purchase, is a joke. Do not spend the money on purchasing from this company.
I will report to Better Business Bureau.
