I received a Craftsman 12volt / rechargeable inflator as a gift from my 81 year old mother. She purchased this item, paying cash, from the Sears store in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Friday, December24. We had our family Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 26th. The following day, we opened the box to find no owners manual included. I decided to go ahead and charge the unit and see if it was in working condition. After the full charge was put on, the unit only worked if you held the power button on, and it lost the charge after 5 minutes of being unplugged. I took the item to the store where it was purchased 5 DAYS AGO and just wanted to exchange it. Didn't want a refund, just another inflator. The "employee" stated that if I did not have a receipt, that there was nothing they could do, and also said, "how do we know it wasn't purchased a year ago and you're just now bringing it in?" I also asked them to check to see if there were any more and he reluctatnly checked and said the item was a clearance item and they weren't going to get anymore. H couldn't tell me if the item was never going to be at another Sears store again. Basically, the SEARS employee implied that I was a liar, and refused to help me find a solution to a problem with THEIR merchandise. I will not forget this and will tell others about the horrible service at this Sears store in Hot Springs Arkansas
