Ray and Karen Bartnicke These folks took our $7,500 check for purchased of shutters and then spent the money on their own personal bills. They refuse to return all the money

Ray and Karen Bartnicke sold us Plantation Shutters under the Contractor/Business name: Bountiful Blinds.

We gave them a check for $7,500. We were stupid and paid in full for the entire order. He told us if we paid in full, he would give us a big discount.

We waited for installation and delivery. We waited for three months with NO contact or delivery information from them.

We finally insisted (thru voice mail) they meet with us in person and tell us what the heck was going on. We had trusted these people because our Building Developer Sales Office, recommended them to us; we had just bought a new home.

It took another two months to get a face to face with Mr. Bartnicke. When he appeared, he confessed to spending our money on his sick mother. He simply told us that the money was gone and he would pay us back WHEN HE COULD AFFORD IT.

We paid him this money on Thanksgiving of 2010. It is now the middle of June and we still do not have this settled with him OR the shutters that he never really ordered. He tells us each and every week, he will be paying us the following Monday or Tuesday. It is apparently to get us to back off and make us go away.

We did not want to file any complaints or cause them any trouble, but now we see that we have lost our money and will never get it back. And one would have to ask: How many other elderly victims are there? Heck, how many victims of any age are out there. We have come to learn from others in his industry that his MOTHER died a very long time ago and his excuse has been used before, when attempting to justify his mis-direction of funds.

This man is a thief. Do not give him your money. He is still lying to us and still avoiding payment.

Bountiful Blinds has no web address; no email address and try getting him on the telephone. Ray and Karen Bartnicke operate under the same business name, him selling shutters and her selling drapes. Beware!

Shame, shame on these predators.
