Damaged my ca

I had Volvo 850 which I took to firestone for oil change. They said the drain plug was stripped and we replaced it with temporary one. I asked how long it was gonna last and the mechanic said, it could be forever anyways we will see when you come for the next oil change. After some days, the whole oil drained while I was driving on a free way. I had my car towed to firestone and after diagnosing the problem they told me I needed to change the oil pan. I agreed to pay $900 because I know nothing about cars but driving them. On the next day they called and say, the motor is damaged and we need to change it. I was really mad because they told me the motor was okay and I should only replace the oil pan. I went to their shop and talked to them but they denied what the said. I even complained to the corporate but they were on the side of their stupid unprofessional mechanics. I don't recommend firestone to anybody.
