Appliance - Kenmore microwave/oven wall unit

I purchased a wall oven/microwave combination back in October. I paid about $1900. The microwave is no longer working. I called customer service and they stated the appliance is no longer under warranty and I will have to pay for service. I do not understand how I buy an appliance and after a year and a half it is not working. I did not buy this in some no brand store, I bought this at Sears! Sears is suppose to stand behind their product. I could see if I had the wall oven. Microwave for 5 or 10 years, but a year and half, never again Sears, never again!!!
