Ripoff very poor quaility sub landscape contractors

I hired Landmark Environments from Rancho Cordova, Ca., a licensed contractor, to design and complete my backyard landscaping. The designs were complete after one missed appointment by the designer. I really liked the design and because the company came recommended by some friends I hired them. I was going to have them pour colored concrete for a pool deck, patio and several walkways. I was told there would be two pours.

I watched as the forms were laid for the pool deck. When the workers left, under the advise of another contractor, I checked to make sure the size was what I wanted. I measured and discovered the size of the deck had been made much smaller. The measurements were off from 6 inches to over two feet. When I notified the supervisor I was told the pour scheduled for the morning would have to be cancelled if I wanted the corrections made. Obviously, I wanted the corrections made. The crew appeared at 6:15 am to reframe the deck and pour the concrete. A day or two later the patio was poured.

I had to leave town for a few days but when I returned there were five very large cracks and two smaller cracks in the pool deck. The patio also had one large crack. The supervisor told me there was nothing he could do about it. The walkways had been poured about a week after the first two pours were complete. The color change between the pours is dramatically different. I expected some change in the color, but nothing this dramatic. Some of the concrete that was to be scored was not and I was told they would come back with a saw and cut the pattern into the concrete. I was agreeable to this because I wanted the work done, but so far nothing. A piece of the patio had been cut out and repoured and that color was very different from the patio and pool deck it connects with.

I have tried on many occasions to contact the supervisors. They will not take may calls and the only information I get from the office staff is that the work will be complete and someone will get back to me. It has been a month and I haven't heard from anyone yet. My sister called, she has a different last name, and was able to get through to one of the owners right after I called and was told no one was available. She was also told the work would be completed.

I have paid for all but $ 2700 of a $ 24000 deal and the work is not complete and very poor quaility. It would cost much more than I owe to contract with another crew to complete and repair the work. I have also discovered the family who recommended the contractor to me has also started to have problems with the work done on their home. They cannot get them to return their calls either.
