Beechler Concrete
Unprofessional, 2 Y.O. Concrete Patio Falling Appart. Constructed pool deck in 75 % of the deck surface is crumbling and falling appart. 20 thousand dollars wasted!

The concrete pool deck was constructed in late August "Beechler Concrete" of Virden, IL, it was finished in stamped concrete technique Ashlars slate using dry color release. After the contractor washed of the dry colors surface of the deck did not looked evenly colored, some areas hardly had color, other had too much. So after seeing it I stated to the contractor that the color was not acceptable and need to be fixed before the sealing. Despite that contractor applied sealer that had some very dark brown stain that made it look even worse, while I was not home. This was not the biggest problem at all yet.

After the first winter, mild Central Midwest winter, decorative surface of the deck stared to pill and chip, in some large areas surface came completely off down to the aggregate. I contacted the contractor via the telephone with this problem, he promised to came over and take a look at the deck. After 2 weeks I have contacted him again he said that this is not his fault, he also said that concrete is a very difficult and unpredicted material so I should just take a loss and have it resurfaced. I had invested over 20 thousand dollars in this project and can hardly believe my contractor story.

I have contacted local BBB as well about 3 month ago, that was a joke. The contractor proudly states in his ads that he is a member on BBB, even after I filed complain on him with BBB and he did not response to my complaint for over 3 month BBB gives him perfect recommendations. So at my experience BBB information and recommendations is nothing but consumer fraud, can only imagine how much more homeowners can be mislead by BBB.

My story is a warning to all other homeowners in centrall Illinois where "Beechler Concrete" doing their "handy" work.
