Failure to complete the work

We entered into an agreement with Mr. Connley to extend our concrete patio. The contracted amount was $4200. Half was paid to Mr. Connley up front. $996.00 was paid to the concrete company upon delivery of the concrete. After the subcontractors poured the concrete and removed the forms, on April 30, Mr Connley asked me to pay the subcontractor, Alejo Garcia, by check in the amount of $1000, which we did. It was not until after they left we realized all of concrete outside of the forms was still around the entire patio that had been laid. Nuremous calls were made to Mr. Connley asking him to clean up the overrun of concrete. Each time we were promised he or someone else would come to complete the job. To date we have not heard any further word nor has the job been completed. Please help.
