Unauthorize charge to my account causing $145.00 in overdraft fees!

Construction & Repair

April 26th, I noticed a charge on my banking statement for $99.00. I had no idea what this was, so I contacted the # on my bank account. The person I spoke with told me it was for a club I had signed up for 'Perfect Home'. I explained to her, I was told I would not be charged for this group until June, after my free look period. She said this was probably just an authorization charge, and that it would drop off. Well fast forward 3 days later, not only had it not dropped off, but I started to incur overdraft fees, since this was not a charge I had budgeted for. When I called back, the Customer Service staff was not only rude, but condescending, and told me, it was not there fault I had these fees, and that I needed to talk to my bank because there was nothing they "would" do about it. I hung up, counted down my anger, and called back, thinking that maybe the person I spoke to was just having a bad day. The next person I spoke with was Mary, she was even less professional, and more condescending. Both times I asked to speak with a Manager, and was told there were no Managers in the office. She confirmed the $99.00 was for a totally different group, I hadn't even heard of. I told her I never signed up for this, and this charge was unauthorized. I hung up, counted down my anger again, and called back.instead of dealing with an obviously incompetent staff, I asked again to speak with a Manager, I was told no one was in, but there was a Supervisor. I spoke with Rita, who assured me this would be resolved, but also said the company would not reimburse for the overdraft fees. I even had my bank on the other line, to verify with her, that if the company caused this, they would be responsible. She told me she would reverse the $99.00. The next day, I check my account, and I am charged an additional $99.00, for the "Perect Home" the club I was to try out for 30 days free. At his point I was livid. My account had already been compromised, and an additional $99.00, just sent me over the edge. I called back, and spoke with a different Manager, who was just a waste of time. She did say she would forward my complaint to the Marketing Dept.

A few hours later, I recv'd a call from Amy. Who asked me to forward my bank info, and they would review it. Today is May, 4, and I just got off the phone with Amy, who informed me, the company is only taking responsibility for one overdraft fee, because I was already overdrawn. Needless to say, I lost it! I "explained" to her, again, that my overdraft fees did not occur until after they had compromised my account, and that if they knew how to read a statement, they would see at the top of the page where it showed a positive balance as of the date the initial withdrawal, and the second statement clearly showed a negative balance. She refused to budge, it was very insulting. I hung up.
