Overdraft Fee Rip Off

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of also dealing with BOA and their reasoning for overdraft fees.

On several occasions I have called to inquire about why overdraft fees appeared on my statement when I knew that either money was in the account or I would only be charged one overdraft fee.

Well today broke the camels back! I had called the bank on Wednesday to see how much was in my account to learn that I was overdrawn by three dollars and some change. Okay, I'll get hit with two overdraft charges.

Well today, Friday, I look at my account only to see that the overdraft charges were charged to my account but there WAS money there because the other pending charges hadn't clearned yet. So I called to find out why I had these two overdraft charges when clearly there was money there. The customer service rep hung up on me!

So I called back later this evening and while sitting waiting for someone to pick up I pull up my account and I find FIVE additional overdraft fees on my account. WHAT THE HELL! I'm thinking to myself.

So when the man comes on the line I ask him why these fees when all of the pending transactions on my account were being held on Wednesday and would have only had charged two overdraft fees to my account.

He goes on to explain that on Wednesday I had a negative balance and so they charged my account even though everything else hadn't cleared and money was there. So now that everything else clears I still get hit with additional charges because at that particular time my account was overdrawn.

Well, I didn't see that because everything that I had calculated without the overdraft fees being charged would have cleared my account and left me with $4.00 overdrawn.

So I ask to speak to a manager. This idiot puts me on hold for over twenty minutes and when I hang up and call back the call center is CLOSED!

On another occasion they cleared a check and it overdrew my account for a few dollers. Well then the next day they reversed which caused me to incur an additional fee to the company I paid the check to and their reason for doing it was because it would have overdrawn my account by too much money.

What gives them the right to determine what too much money is!!! It's my account!

Needless to say I am furious and wish we could sue these buttholes!

Their practices has caused me to be in the hole every payday because of overdraft fees.

I am closing my account and will NEVER do business with them ever again!!!

Now I understand why my grandparents and great grandparents would keep money in the mattress. Your money is not safe in this bank that is for sure!!
