Zero refund for returned, unused, product

We ordered a wireless "Instant Fence" for our 8 lb dachshund. It was advertised as being appropriate for this weight dog. We paid $225.00 for the Instant Fence, using a credit card.

When we opened the box, the electronic dog collar was on top. We opened the plastic bag, and realized that the collar was much too heavy and large for our small dog to wear. We replaced the collar in the bag, and then in the box, resealed it, and returned it, insured, to SuperPetStuff, along with an explanatory note, and request for a refund.

After several weeks, we phoned the company. It took many calls to get anyone to answer. The man said that we were supposed to have authorization to return any item, but finally admitted that the box was there. He was very vague about any refund. We called several more times over the next 2 months, with the same results.

Our credit card company made some attempt to assist, but was unsuccessful. We now have neither an Instant Fence nor the $225.00.
