We gave a deposit to have a fence completed. We had to cancel the order, we had done business with them before. When we spoke to them on the phone about canceling there was no mention of a problem with returning our deposit and they seemed like nice people so we let it go. We left phone answering machine messages but they weren't returned and we finally wrote a letter and it was never answered. They have now had our deposit for over a year. Today I finally got them on the phone and they said we never canceled our order so they were keeping our deposit... Well if I never canceled my order why didn't you come to do my fence? If they had a legal / legitimate reason to keep our money wouldn't they of returned one of our calls and explained that? Or written us with a receipt of some type for what they kept and why. It's a shame because we really thought they were a nice local company we could trust and use again.
