Chevrolet
Major component failure - 2005 Trailblaze

Construction & Repair

We bought a GM Certified Used 2005 Trailblazer in February.in May the transmission didn't just fail, it disintegrated, leaving us stranded while waiting for a dealership to open. This is a catastrophic failure for a vehicle with on 63,000 miles on it.

Of course the GM "customer service" call center located in the Philippines told me we were out of luck. GM won't do anything to mitigate the $3300 it cost for a new transmission. Not to mention lost days at work, hotel rental, and the cost of a rental car.

I really want to buy American made vehicles, but this may force me to spend money that will support foreign manufacturers.
