Over Charge for Dryer Repai

We contacted Top Cat Appliance to come out and repair our whirlpool dryer. We thought the issue was a broken heating element. Top Cat has a policy where the service charge ($65) is free if they do the repair, otherwise you pay the $65.

They came out spent 20 minutes repairing the dryer-which was to replace the heating element (listed on RepairClinic.com for $32) and the total cost was $199. We were charged approx $167 for 20 minutes of service and $32 for the part. What a rip off. I had called previous and asked them what the estimated price would be-they said they couldn't give it. I don't understand why they didn't just charge us their service charge of $65 plus parts. My mechanic only charges $75 an hour. This company basically charged me $500 an hour!!!

When I called and complained about the price I was told I would be given a $25 coupon off our next service. I told them to forget it as we wouldn't use them again. I highly recommend you NOT use this company. The charge entirely too much and keep their prices a secret so you are stuck paying the full amount.
