Ripoff huge unmentioned trip charge for repairs rude carless behavio

I have just had a horrible experience with a company that I bought a used washer and dryer from called Appliance Network. I bought the pair on 9/13/05 for $335.35 and the dryer stopped heating on 10/26/05, so I called twice (because they would not return my phone calls) and finally got them to come on 10/28/05. They replaced a t-fuse and charged me $65.00, $25.00 for labor, the part is covered under the 1 year warranty on parts alone, and then charged me an outrageous trip charge of $40.00. All this for 15 minutes of work.

Then once again, a month later the dryer stops heating. I call up hoping to get a break on the trip charge only to find that "Al" is not willing to do anything to help me out. This was after 2 messages earlier in the day in which I was not called back. I told him that I could not believe that he would still charge me for the trip charge after the dryer has broke down twice in two months. He still wouldn't budge. He ended with saying that I would have to bring it in because he was not going to send a man out to my house.

I asked him for his last name and he would not give it to me. So I told him that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and he told me that if I called again that he would file harrassment charges against me. Anyways, so here I am with a broke dryer and a company that will not fix it for less than $65.00. I just wanted for people to know about this company and how they could potentially be treated. Appliance Network is a rip off. Thanks for taking the time to read my complaint.
