Construction & Repair

We were so happy we would be getting a new house and moving in in 90 days. Then h*ll hit the fan. No workers showed up for 2 months. Finally the foundations men showed up poured the concrete blocks. Then another month or two the powers that be said they finally lined up a crew. The lumber arrived. The workers arrived and put together one horrific pile of junk. The 2x6 were put down but no boards in between. The sides went up crooked. The roof went on and looked like my grandson built it. The roofers came to put on the shingles but neglected to put the black paper down. He said it didn't have to be. THe main support in the middle of the house was pieced together with scraps of wood. The workers left and didn't come back because they could not get paid. Another month and another and another crew showed up and had to redo most of the house that they could. Tore the shingles off and just threw them on the ground. The yard looked like a pig sty. But Daniel said to leave it they way. The sheet rock people came, carpet people, water, electric, sewer, and finally the painter had to come back three times to do a half (assed) job of painting. The washer and dryer connections were put in wrong. The space for the refrigrator was too small. The floor of the wash room started falling from the foundation so this poor old man came and fixed it with two by fours. They punched a hole in the tub of one bathroom. The carpet was laid in two days and not stretched and now has rumbles in all rooms. The wall in the hall looks like a roller coaster rail. The foundations needs major repair. We have a jack holding up one part of it.in all our 90 days turned into 7 (seven) months and all we have is apile of junk and I don't thinks we can even sell it after people read about Jim Walter's wonderful home. My son also had one built and the doors fell off the hindges the first year and no one would fix it. I know you said paragraphs but I am not good at doing writing on the computer. Hince on paragraph. I wish you could see our dream house. We have more money paid in then it cost to build this house. We will never see the end. Thanks
