Palm Harbor Homes Is A Giant Ripoff

We bought our home from PHH & what a ripoff, First they lied to us about our move in date, We finally moved in on Nov 16 we did our walkthrough the same day and checked the usual boxes except the ones about being satisfied with the house and added on garage, they were somehow magically checked when we went to dispute issues on our home and garage. Our garage foundation and the house foundation was not not squared to each other so in other words our garage is crooked to our house which is very evident by just looking at it, this in return has caused a leak in the roof between the house and garage wall causing damage to both walls as it has been leaking now for going on 11 months, the sub-contractor building the garage told our Personal Construction Manager (WHICH IS A JOKE) that the foundation was crooked he replied build it anyways. We also paid for a sub-base to put under the garage floor well it never was, the floor had broken and cracked in many places before we got fully moved in so my husband cored the floor to see why and found that there was no sub-base. When they put the garage on they had to tear some of the siding off when it came time to put siding back on they used the old stuff with tears and dents all over they couldn't even hang most of it so they nailed it in the middle of each piece of the siding to the house with carpenter nails We were devistated by the sight of this. As far as the inside of the house the floor plan was wrong, they said they would fix this well 11 months later no one will return our calls or e-mails on this. The carpet is the wrong color they laid it anyways you can see all seems where it was put together looks like a first grader did it, it is coming apart everywhere literally shredding so that it looks like it was cut short of the wall. The floor is uneven everywhere it looks like a roller coaster ride, You can also stick your foot between the carpet and floor molding.

We also had a front porch added to the house, it too is crooked and very evident just by looking at it they said the vinyl siding was put on crooked at the manufacturers so they decided to hide it by adding something to the front porch it too has not been done, All they are willing to do is hide there mistakes. They said they finish off the inside of the garage or have the structure raised up and fix the foundation, (this making the whole structure unstable) and they would add to the floor leaving a big seam in it. As of today not one issue has been resolved, When we e-mail or call them now they will not even respond anymore leaving us stuck with there mistakes and a leaking roof. We have many more minor issues with them also. Please take our advice do not buy your home at palm harbor especially at wake forest they will screw everyone and anyone over to make a buck!!!
