"Touch of History"
In sold me a rug that was not theirs to sell! Scottsdale

Construction & Repair

On July 13th my friend and I went into a Touch of History on Scottsdale road.
We saw a large collection on rugs and fine furniture, we selected a rug that said Fenwicks Fine Rugs on the back and were told they were featured there as well as other companies
We selected a rug with a nice sales womens help and purchased.
We were told that we could take it home and try it and if we needed a larger one or different colors we could exchange it.
After deciding on a larger size at home we called back and were told we could exchange only.
When returning to the store we found they no longer had the Fenwicks rugs there and we could only get a store credit for furniture.
After talking with a friend I found out Fenwicks Fine Rugs were in bankruptcy.
I contacted the manager by emails and after a few back and forth were told we purchased before the company filed for bankruptcy and not to worry.
After investigating we found out their papers were filed a year before, Fenwicks Fine Rugs were actually locked out of the store and the rugs were not theirs to sell. We are very upset with this whole thing, we do not want furniture and in these hard times with so many stores going out of business we do not like buying under these circumstances
