I moved here to arizona from chicago 2 1/2 years ago. My husband
has since passed away and needing to scale down decided to sell one of my oriental rugs which was in perfect condition.

I called bijan oriental rugs inc.in scottsdale, az and spoke with the owner setting up an appointment to look at my rug. August 7,1998 he came to my home, viewed my rug and said he would take it on consignment. He went into the garage, loaded the rug in his truck, returned saying the rug needed cleaning in the amount of $216.00.

I told him i just had it cleaned in chicago before moving
out here. He started talking about unrelated things, inquiring
about pieces of furniture and my car&if they were for sale. He
had my head spinning. He said sign here and he was off saying he
would be in touch. A year had almost passed and nothing from bijan until i called june 21,1999 stating i wanted my rug back.

June 22,1999 a man from bijan delivered a rug said to be mine-in
horrible condition. I am positive this rug is not mine. I was
appalled, shocked and dismayed that they could and did try to
return a rug that was in such bad shape.

I hope anyone reading this would never patronize bijan as they are one of the biggest rip off carpet dealers in arizona.

Update

I contacted the usacomplaints.com
They put me in contact with "Consumers Against Consumer Rip-Offs"
One week after I contacted them I got a check for the full $1,700
