In July of I purchased a new 19 horsepower riding lawn mower and was told that if there was ever a time that I couldn't make the payment that they would hold my merchandise for awhile as long as I kept in touch. November I unfortunately had to turn it in until the first week of February. I kept the manager informed that I would be back to get it.
When I came back in to lease my mower again (total of 2 year contract), I was not given my mower. The mower that they gave me was and still is a piece of junk. The motor does not work at full power and the steering wheel was broken.in July of the motor finally quit. It took Aaron's until almost the beginning of June to return my mower. It was pushing 11 months that they had it and could never explain why it was taking so long. It took getting the district manager involved to get it returned.
The mower was returned with more wrong than when they picked it up. The transmission was slipping, a mechanic used what looks like a screwdriver to start the mower instead of a key and scraped all of the starting decals off of the ignition. The mower worked the first time we cut the grass, but started to act like when I first was given this mower. It died the second time we tried cutting the grass.
Aaron's picked it up again and just brought it back 6 weeks later. The transmission is still not fixed and I can tell that the engine is going to give out again soon. The district manager told me that the ignition switch was cosmetic and they would not fix it. She doesn't understand about the transmission because she watched the store manager drive it around and she said it drove OK.
My main problem with all of this is I paid over 4300 dollars and was switched into a piece of junk that doesn't work. Aaron's did not live up to what they told me about giving me back my same property, which my wife and I took excellent care of. I feel that Aaron's should give me a better mower to replace this. Everytime I call the store to ask about the mower I get badgered by the account manager who is very rude. I can't even finish explaining a problem and she starts to make an excuse and won't even listen.
Aaron's has totally disappointed me as far as customer service.
