Arbor Homes
Custom Home Builder using faulty materials, BEWARE!

Construction & Repair

Arbor Homes owned by Greg Sommerhof in St. Louis MO. Builds custom homes in the 500K to 2M range. He built our home and 5 yrs later the outside trim began to expand, crack and take on sponge quailites. After many calls he did send someone out to look at it and we were told we would get a quote to fix. We asked if it were possible this was happening because MDF was used (NOT for outdoor use) and we were told no. Funny we can not get anyone to return our calls in the last 7 months since that conversation. We have gotten a second and third opinion and both say yes, it is MDF and that is why it is failing. I know now that is why they are not calling us back. Bids to replace the trim are $2000.00 Because faulty material was used the original builder should replace it if within 10 yrs per our contract. You think when you pay over half a million dollars for a home you will get quality work. Not
