Stood me up

I was notified that my Maytag side-by-side refrigerator was recalled after 6 1/2 years due to a defective relay switch and to call to set up a service call. This was all done via a computer call and my appoiintment was set for Monday 3/16/09 between 8am and noon. I received a computer confirmation call the evening prior. This company never called or showed up. When I called back to the original number all I got was a transfer and that computer told me they were too busy to take my call and to go the website and then hung up on me. I then googled the name trying to find a local phone number and and instead found one unhappy blog after another - I persisted and finally reached the Maytag corporate office and was immediately connected to an executive services customer service rep who scheduled me with another service company in San Antonio and viola, today 3/17/09 my relay switch was changed. So if your time is precious to you, don't expect A & E Factory Service to show up.
