David Haering, Took payment on job, made a profit, and did not pay help fully or even minimally

This man took daily siding installation services from me on a job in Clarksville, MD for the course of one month. During that time, I brought a colleage/partner and good friend of mine (fellow siding installer) in to the job as well. Although all the installers on the job (3 total) received each one paycheck a-piece, no further funds were paid out. This all ended with myself and my good friend contacting the homeowner directly with intent to file a mechanic's lien on his property if he should he not be willing to allow us to overtake the siding contract for the final draw on the job. Upon finishing an overdue project for Mr. Haering, and having found out from the homeowner that he (. Mr. Haering) had taken a six to seven thousand dollar profit away from the same siding installation job, Mr. Haering stills owes us a total of about $2250. I have been to court with mr. Haering, during which time his only rebuttal to my claim was "I know I owe the money, but I haven't gotten paid for this or that" (absolutely not verbatim, but I can get transcripts). Since the judgement was issued on that court date, I am now working on the next step of this collection process (Interrogatories In Aid of Execution), which is supposed to be him anwering to what means of collection I might pursue from him, more or less. He has failed to appear for the last proceeding, and I am pursuing the matter further. During the course of all the aforementioned events I also helped him on a number of other projects, loaned him my truck on several occasions, and have been told by his wife that I'm "owed a debt of gratitude" for having helped remodel his house with a small addition. Having spoken with others who have worked for. Haering, I know I am not the only one to have suffered or to be sufferring this same course of events.
