Genesis Group negligence flooded my home and failed county inspections

Genesis Group, Mark Collette MHIC Reg#85816 by their negligence and incompetent building practices caused two floods during the remodeling of my home and caused previously finished living areas to be destroyed with damages exceeding $70,000. Genesis Group, Mark Collette put my 8 month pregnant wife, 3 year old daughter and 2 young son's lives in danger when we had to evacuate our home at 2:48AM, log #05-622, incident #050062669, summoning the Howard County Fire and Rescue to save us and our home from collapse.

Genesis Group, Mark Collette abandoned construction after negligently completing approximately 75% of the contract, leaving our home exposed to the weather, failing Howard County code inspections, three engineers' reports and standards of care and quality.

Genesis Group, Mark Collette exhibited substandard skills, failed to employ skilled labor for and lied about his abilities.

Three independent Engineers, James Rooney, Tim Moore and Russ Allen ALL rated his workmanship as POOR!

Two subsequent contractors, Beall/Heyman Group and Dave Haering, Master Carpentry agreed with the engineers reports issuing their own "substandard" reports. Each corrected the substandard workmanship.

The Maryland DLLR Home Improvement Commission and Attorney General "Dougie" Gansler DID NOTHING and sat idly while Genesis filed a FALSE "mechanics lien."
